CSA Leaders Network of Dallas Meeting

The Certified Senior Advisors Leaders Network of Dallas, Texas held their monthly meeting at The Lodge at Quail Park in Frisco, Texas after a two month summer break! It was great to get together again and even though the turnout was small, our hosts were most gracious and the food was absolutely wonderful! The meeting included a recap and highlights of the 3rd Annual CSA Conference which was held in San Diego, CA on August 30 – September 1, 2015. Dallas CSA Jim and Diane Blythe attended the conference and clued the rest of us in on the take-aways. The 2015 CSA Conference was designed to provide attendees with the opportunity to learn more about trending topics and key issues in the aging industry. This year’s program included 4 tracks: Finance & Insurance, Healthcare & Home Care, Legal & Public Policy, and Social Interest & Lifestyle. The conference title was Building Knowledge & Empowering Networks to Benefit Seniors. The Keynote Speaker was Teepa Snow who is an occupational therapist working as a dementia care and dementia educational specialist. Apparently, the conference overall was a huge success and a great time was had by all.

Our meeting this month was hosted by The Lodge at Quail Park in Frisco, Texas which was voted “Best of Assisted Living” by Frisco Enterprise Poll Readers, for six consecutive years.  The Lodge at Quail Park is a casually elegant retirement community. Their 64 premier apartments are comfortably situated in a quiet residential area of Frisco, Texas, but just moments away from major freeways, shopping, and entertainment. The Lodge at Quail Park offers residents “Enhanced Assisted Living”, which includes an on-site Primary Care and a fully equipped physician exam room on the third floor. The assisted living residents can see the visiting primary care physician in the convenience of their own home without having to travel offsite for such services. Staff at this beautiful community include Executive Director Donnie Herrera, and Community Relations Director Gwen Cantu. Gwen was our hostess for the evening and made sure we were served the most delicious array of heavy appetizers, fruit, cheeses and desserts. More information on The Lodge at Quail Park can be found by clicking on The Lodge at Quail Park and going directly to their website.
